Letter from the VP Recruitment

Hello Potential New Members (PNMs) and welcome to the University of Manitoba! You may be surprised to hear that we have sororities on campus and are curious to know what a sorority is and why you should join Alpha Gamma Delta. We are an international women’s organization that is committed to providing opportunities for personal development, service to others, and a space for members to forge their own paths through a lifelong spirit if sisterhood. You will be surrounded by like-minded women who are supportive of one another and will have multiple opportunities for personal growth through our pillars: Leadership, Academics, Community, Philanthropy, and of course, Sisterhood! Joining a sorority allows you to have a community of women to support you and that you can rely on while focusing on your academics and that can help you achieve your goals. When I first joined Alpha Gam, I had no idea what a sorority was but knew that I wanted to join a group of girls and make some new friends. Through joining Alpha Gamma Delta I have found that sense of belonging, became more confident, and had opportunities to grow my leadership skills.
